Originally released as 'Rosemary's Killer', this film was later re-tittled as 'The Prowler'. This movie poster is from the original theatrical release from 1981. This is a less common version of this poster, and this is 1 of a handful that we know of in circulation in recent years! More to the point, this poster has one distinguishing feature setting it aside from the other's - We had it signed by the man behind this films "Special Effects and Special Make-Up Effects" , Tom Savini!!!

Horror icon Savini, who's legendary work in such films as 'Dawn of the Dead' and 'Friday the 13th', told us at the time he signed this piece, that he would often direct the the horror sequences in his films:

"Because a lot of directors don't get what I do. I need to be able to create my "magic", and these sequences needed to be filmed a certain way for that to happen." -Tom Savini

No doubt the filmmakers were trying to outdo 'Rosemary's Baby' as evidenced by the poster's tag line, "Makes 'Rosemary's Baby look like a minuet at a Boston social party!"

Though 'Rosemary's Killer' is a teen slasher classic, it's satirical twists and ironic humor has undoubtedly influenced such modern day horror films like the 'Scream' series and the 'I Know What You Did...' franchise.
